VERY
IMPORTANT FABRIC CHOICE NOTES:
To make spirals - Picking fabric for this project
is very important. Colors #1 and #2 need to be a
light and medium light fabric. Colors #3 and #4
need to be a medium dark and dark fabric. There
needs to be a big difference between the medium
light and medium dark fabric. To increase your
chance of sharp spidrons, make the lighter fabrics
one color family and the darker fabrics another
color family. An example would be: light yellow
and medium yellow for color #1 and #2. Medium dark
and dark blue for color #3 and #4. NOTE:
When thinking of the values of fabrics from color
#1 to color #4, you do not want a smooth gradient.
You want to skip a few values between color #2 and
color #3. This way you have two lighter fabrics
and two darker fabrics.
To make stars - Colors #1 and #3 need to
be light fabrics. Colors #2 and #4 need to be much
darker fabrics. For best results, fabrics #1 and
#2 should be from the same color family and fabrcs
#3 and #4 should be from the same corlor family
but different from the color family of fabrics #1
and #2. |
| Special
Notes: This
project requires 8-1/2" x 14" (legal)
paper for the templates of lesson #4 (2 sheets)
and #5 (6 sheets) . For metric system you can cut
an A3 sheet of paper 216mm x 356mm. You can also
use freezer paper cut to the size needed. With freezer
paper you want to print on the dull side. You can
put freezer paper through an inkjet printer, but
*NEVER* put freezer paper through a laser
jet. 8o) |
